Invisalign treatment consists of a series of nearly invisible, removable aligners that you change every two weeks. Each aligner is individually manufactured for your teeth. As you progress through the series of aligners, your teeth will move little by little until they have straightened to the final position. They are removable and therefore easier to eat and clean. The first step is to come to have an assessment and chat about what you want to achieve.

If you decide to go ahead an impression with be taken and sent to Invisalign to create some virtual 3D models. Together we will decide on the best treatment plan for you. This treatment plan will be shown to you so you can see the series of movements your teeth are projected to go through to create that perfect smile and you can see what your teeth will look like at the end of your Invisalign treatment before it begins. This brace system, depending on the package you are assigned to, can cost up to £3,950 for both arches with unlimited aligners.

Ceramic or “tooth-coloured” brackets are fixed to the outside of your teeth. These work in the same way as the metal fixed braces however the brackets blend into the teeth better. You can see the change within the first few days giving you more confidence at work and socially. This brace starts at £3,000 for both arches.

A Smile in Six months (a sectional brace)

Sectional braces are used to improve the appearance of a section of teeth, usually only the front six to eight teeth and will not necessarily change the bite. This usually takes about six months. It is limited orthodontics, not comprehensive orthodontics. We can usually convert this brace into full treatment if you wish to correct the bite as well. This brace can start from as little as £1,500 for one arch with ceramic brackets

Metal fixed braces have little brackets that are attached to the outside of your teeth and we tie wires into the brackets to create the forces to start moving the teeth. We like to see you every 6 weeks to adjust the brace. We change the wire or attach accessories to help with the movements. With this brace we can produce more accurate movements to get that perfect result. This brace, for both arches, can start from just £2,500 for adults and £1,500 for children who do not qualify for NHS treatment.

Removable Braces

Removable braces can tip teeth into alignment. You can remove it but while it isn’t in the mouth it isn’t working. They can be removed for cleaning and important meetings or occasions. They are tailor-made to fit your mouth from an impression that we take of your teeth and send to a laboratory. Once they are fitted they can gently start pushing your teeth into place. However, they have limited movements and therefore are only appropriate for a few cases. These can start from merely £650.

​Retainers hold your teeth in their current position and prevent the teeth from moving. We will provide a clear retainer when you finish your active treatment to prevent your teeth going out of alignment. We can provide one if you want to hold your teeth in their current position. These cost £100 for a clear retainer or £175 (if your teeth are straight) for a bonded retainer. A bonded retainer is a thin piece of wire that is attached behind your teeth to prevent them from moving.
